Add team members to your workspace and choose a role - Admin, Senior, Junior, Reviewer, Client Manager.

ThynkTax has 5 built-in roles. You can also create custom roles if needed.

Invite flow

  1. Settings → Team → Invite member
  2. Enter the invitee's email (must be the same domain as your workspace, or a domain you explicitly allow).
  3. Choose a role.
  4. Optionally restrict to specific clients (for Client Manager role).
  5. Click Send invite.

The invitee receives an email with a sign-up link. The link expires in 7 days.

Two-factor authentication

For all team members:

  • Optional by default
  • Mandatory if Settings → Security → Require MFA is on
  • TOTP (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password) or WebAuthn / FIDO2 keys supported
  • SMS-OTP fallback (Twilio)

Audit log

Every action by every team member is logged:

  • Settings → Security → Audit log - last 90 days, exportable as CSV
  • For longer history, the full log is queryable via the audit-log API

The audit log is also what's submitted as "defensible evidence" if a CBDT scrutiny notice asks who approved a specific filing.
