Create your ThynkTax workspace
Step-by-step guide to creating a workspace, setting up your firm profile, and inviting your first team member.
Create your ThynkTax workspace
A workspace in ThynkTax represents your firm - every client, return, and document lives inside it. Setting one up takes about 4 minutes.
1. Sign up
Go to thynktax.com/signup. Enter your work email (use your firm's domain, not Gmail - it makes team invites easier) and choose a password (or use Sign in with Google / Microsoft).
You'll land in an empty workspace with the default name "{your name}'s Firm".
2. Name your firm
Navigate to Settings → Workspace. Set:
- Legal name - appears on PDFs, invoices, Form 16 / 130, and the firm letterhead used for client reports.
- Trade name (optional) - if your firm trades under a different brand.
- Membership Number (ICAI) - required for ROC filings where the auditor signs.
- GSTIN - your firm's own GST registration (not your clients'). Required for your subscription invoice.
- Logo - uploaded once, appears on every client-facing PDF.
3. Add your address and contact
- Registered office address - used on the firm letterhead.
- Phone & email - primary support contact published to clients.
- Website (optional)
- Working hours - used by the auto-responder for support emails received outside hours.
4. Choose your subscription
Three plans:
- Starter (₹999/mo) - up to 10 GSTINs, 5,000 reconciliations/mo, single user.
- Firm (₹2,499/mo) - unlimited GSTINs, unlimited reconciliations, 10 seats, priority support.
- Enterprise (custom) - SSO, dedicated VPC, custom integrations.
You start on a 30-day free trial of Firm. You can downgrade or upgrade anytime.
5. Invite your team
