Add a company entity
Set up a company in ThynkTax with CIN, directors, paid-up capital, AGM date, and registered office.
Add a company entity
A company in ThynkTax is a subset of client. Companies have additional fields beyond what individuals / firms need.
Required fields
Clients โ Add client โ Entity type: Company
- CIN (21-char Corporate Identity Number)
- Name (exactly as on MCA records)
- Incorporation date
- Type - Private / Public / OPC / Section 8
- Class - Limited by Shares / Limited by Guarantee
- Subcategory - Listed / Unlisted / Government / Foreign / etc.
- Registered office (full address; the basis for AOC-4, MGT-7, INC-22 if changed)
Optional but recommended
- AGM date - anchors the AOC-4 / MGT-7 due-date computation
- FY start date - typically April 1, but some special companies use a different start
- Paid-up capital + Authorised capital - pre-fills several ROC forms
- Director list - names + DINs (link to Director records in ThynkTax)
- Auditor - name + Membership No (links the AOC-4 to the audit report)
Where this feeds
- AOC-4 - pulls financials + auditor + directors automatically
- MGT-7 - pulls share capital + directors + meetings
- DIR-3 KYC - pulls directors directly
- Compliance calendar - generates AGM-anchored deadlines
- Audit risk score - sets baseline risk based on company size + listed status
