Sync from LedgrOS
Push books from LedgrOS to ThynkTax via the ORIS data contract - zero-config sync between bookkeeping and compliance.
Sync from LedgrOS
LedgrOS is the ORIS bookkeeping product. The data contract between LedgrOS and ThynkTax is direct - no API keys, no configuration. Books written in LedgrOS appear in ThynkTax within 30 seconds.
Prerequisites
- The client uses LedgrOS as their bookkeeping platform
- The client's LedgrOS tenant is on the same ORIS umbrella as your ThynkTax tenant (verified via the ORIS Identity ID)
Enable the sync
- Settings → Integrations → LedgrOS
- Click Connect
- The ORIS Identity flow opens - confirm permission to read the LedgrOS tenant
- Pick which client GSTINs to sync (defaults: all)
- Pick the sync direction: LedgrOS → ThynkTax (default; read-only from LedgrOS)
What syncs
- Chart of accounts
- All voucher types (sales, purchase, journal, receipt, payment, contra)
- Customer & supplier masters
- Bank book and reconciliation
- TDS deduction entries
- Asset register
- Inventory (if used)
What doesn't sync
- Custom fields configured in LedgrOS that don't have a ThynkTax counterpart - these are accessible via API but not surfaced in the UI.
- Notes / comments - stay in LedgrOS.
- File attachments - stay in LedgrOS; ThynkTax shows a "view in LedgrOS" link.
Bi-directional?
By default, no - ThynkTax is read-only against LedgrOS books. You can opt into bi-directional sync from Settings → Integrations → LedgrOS → Advanced. When enabled, any ThynkTax-side correction (e.g. reclassifying a journal entry during ITR prep) writes back to LedgrOS.
We recommend keeping it one-way unless you have a specific reason - it keeps the audit trail simpler.
