Generate and dispatch Form 130 (salary TDS certificate, formerly Form 16) for all employees at the year-end.
Bulk Form 16 (now Form 130) generation
Form 130 (the IT Act 2025 successor to Form 16) is the annual TDS certificate for salary. Required by 15 June of the next FY for every employee from whom TDS was deducted.
Steps
TDS → Form 16 → Generate Form 130 batch
- Pick FY + client (employer)
- ThynkTax loads all employees with salary TDS for the FY
- Pulls the Part A (TDS certificate) from TRACES (auto-generated by NSDL once the Q4 return is filed)
- Builds Part B (salary breakdown) from payroll data
- Merges Part A + Part B into a single PDF per employee
- Emails to each employee (with optional download link)
Part B contents
- Gross salary (basic, HRA, allowances, perquisites)
- Exemptions claimed (HRA, LTA, leave encashment, gratuity)
- Standard deduction (₹50K old / ₹75K new)
- Deductions under Chapter VI-A
- Net taxable income + tax slab calculation
- Section 87A rebate (if applicable)
- Cess + total tax
- Tax deducted month by month
- Refund / shortfall
Customisations
- White-label - use your firm's letterhead on the PDF
- Password-protect - by default, employee's PAN is the password (last 5 + DOB DDMM)
- Suppress dispatch - generate but don't email; useful for review
Form 12BA (perquisites)
If any employee had perquisites > ₹50,000, a Form 12BA is auto-generated alongside Form 130.
